Korean movie review: The Relation of Face, Mind and Love
Story: Kang Tae-pung (Kang Ji-Hwan), a famous and talented architect, gets into a car accident and suddenly attractive woman are now ugly while ugly women are gorgeous babes.
When he sees plain-Jane Wang So-jung (Ee Ji-Ah) he believes that she is a gorgeous goddess and falls for her hard.
The two have a hot, one-night stand together, and So-jung is on top of the world because not only did she have the best night of her life, a handsome guy actually likes her.
But then Tae-pung’s sight returns to normal and he doesn’t recognise the real her….
Thoughts: Seriously, who thinks up this shit? The sexism in this show is unbelievable. The script has poor Kang Ji-Hwan saying things like, “Who’s that ugly woman by the window?”.
And so So-jung is ugly because she has bad teeth and some freckles. Right, so we’re supposed to believe that – maybe that’s why she keeps declaring that she’s ugly throughout the movie and even makes fun of her looks in order to make people laugh. Barfs.
You’d think that a movie like this would be about how inner beauty trumps outer beauty. Nuh-uh because the two’s love was shallow to begin with and So-jung’s has no “inner beauty” to speak of.
What a waste of celluloid … what a waste of Kang Ji Hwan!

seems like KJH has wasted himself on quite a lot of projects….
